Welcome to Petlays! These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Petlays mobile application ("App") and services ("Services") provided by Petlays. Please read these Terms carefully before using our App. By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Petlays, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our App.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using Petlays, you acknowledge that:

• You have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms
• You are at least 13 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction)
• You have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms
• You will comply with all applicable laws and regulations

Important: If you are using Petlays on behalf of an organization, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Account Registration and Security

2.1 Account Creation

To use certain features of Petlays, you must create an account. You can register using:

• Email address and password
• Phone number and password
• Social media accounts (Google, Apple)

2.2 Account Information

You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Maintain and promptly update your account information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach
• Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account

2.3 Account Security

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your password
• All activities that occur under your account
• Logging out from your account when using shared devices
• Using strong, unique passwords

Warning: Petlays is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account credentials or unauthorized access to your account.

3. Description of Services

Petlays provides a comprehensive pet management platform that includes, but is not limited to:

3.1 Pet Profile Management

• Create and manage multiple pet profiles
• Store basic pet information (name, type, breed, date of birth, gender, color, temperament, disabilities)
• Record physical details (weight, height, microchip/Tag/ID number, neutered/spayed status)
• Upload and manage pet profile pictures and gallery (photos and videos)
• Generate unique pet identification numbers (PL-XXXXXXXXXXX)
• Manage pet passports and identification documents

3.2 Health Records Management

• Record and track health records, diagnoses, and medical conditions
• Manage vaccination schedules and history
• Track routine medications and medication schedules
• Store clinic visit information, doctor names, and medical remarks
• Upload and attach medical documents and files
• View health record summaries and histories

3.3 Pet Insurance Management

• Store and manage pet insurance information
• Track insurance provider details, coverage periods, and expiration dates
• Receive reminders for insurance renewals

3.4 Achievements and Awards

• Record and archive pet achievements and awards
• Store achievement details, dates, and related information

3.5 Address Management

• Add, edit, and manage multiple addresses
• Use location services to set addresses (with your permission)
• Store address details including building, apartment, floor, street, and landmarks
• Categorize addresses (Apartment, House, Others)

3.6 Notifications

• Receive push notifications about pet health reminders, vaccinations, medications, and appointments
• Get notifications about password changes and account security
• Receive system updates and important announcements
• Manage notification preferences

3.7 Payment and Credits

• Add and manage credit cards for payments
• Purchase credits and loyalty credits
• Process payments for premium features and services

3.8 Support Services

• Access help center and frequently asked questions (FAQ)
• Contact support via live chat
• Submit support tickets and inquiries
• Access contact information for support

3.9 Additional Features

• Share pet profiles and health records
• Multi-language support
• Dark mode and theme customization
• Deep linking and universal links for navigation

4. User Responsibilities

4.1 Accurate Information

You agree to provide accurate, truthful, and complete information about yourself and your pets. You are solely responsible for:

• The accuracy of all pet information, health records, and medical data you enter
• Ensuring that medical information is current and correct
• Verifying the authenticity of uploaded documents

4.2 Appropriate Use

You agree to use Petlays only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:

• Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe upon the rights of others
• Upload false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Interfere with or disrupt the App or servers
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the App
• Transmit viruses, malware, or harmful code
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Collect or store personal data about other users

4.3 Medical Information Disclaimer

Important Medical Disclaimer: Petlays is a data management platform and does NOT provide veterinary advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The health records, vaccination schedules, and medication information stored in the App are for your reference only. Always consult with a licensed veterinarian for:

• Medical diagnoses and treatment decisions
• Vaccination schedules and requirements
• Medication prescriptions and dosages
• Emergency medical situations
• Any health-related concerns about your pets

Petlays is not responsible for any medical decisions made based on information stored in the App.

5. Content and Intellectual Property

5.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you upload to Petlays, including:

• Pet photos and videos
• Health records and medical documents
• Pet information and profiles
• Any other content you create or upload

5.2 License to Petlays

By uploading content to Petlays, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:

• Store, process, and display your content within the App
• Use your content to provide and improve our Services
• Back up your content to ensure data availability
• Share your content as you direct (e.g., when you use the share feature)

This license continues even after you stop using the App, until you delete your content or account.

5.3 Petlays Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in and to Petlays, including:

• The App design, user interface, and user experience
• Software, code, and technology
• Trademarks, logos, and brand names
• Documentation and materials

are owned by Petlays or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

5.4 Restrictions

You may NOT:

• Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the App
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Remove any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices
• Use Petlays trademarks or logos without permission

6. Payment Terms

6.1 Payment Processing

If you purchase credits, premium features, or other paid services:

• All payments are processed through secure third-party payment processors
• You agree to provide accurate payment information
• You authorize us to charge your payment method for all fees
• All fees are non-refundable unless required by law or as stated in our refund policy

6.2 Credit Card Information

When you add a credit card:

• Your credit card information is encrypted and stored securely
• We use PCI-DSS compliant payment processors
• We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers
• You are responsible for keeping your payment information up to date

6.3 Pricing and Changes

7.2 Data Backup

While we make reasonable efforts to backup your data, you are responsible for maintaining your own backups of important information. Petlays is not liable for any data loss.

8. Service Availability and Modifications

We strive to provide reliable service, but:

• We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service
• The App may be unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or technical issues
• We are not liable for any downtime or service interruptions

8.2 Service Modifications

We reserve the right to:

• Modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the App at any time
• Add, remove, or change features without prior notice
• Update the App to improve functionality or security
• Impose limits on usage or storage

8.3 Updates

You agree to install App updates when available. Updates may include bug fixes, security patches, and new features. Continued use of outdated versions may result in limited functionality or security risks.

9. Third-Party Services and Links

9.1 Third-Party Services

Petlays may integrate with or link to third-party services, including:

• Payment processors (Stripe, etc.)
• Social media platforms (Google, Apple) for authentication
• Push notification services (Firebase, Apple Push Notifications)
• Location services (Google Maps)

The App may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for:

• The content, accuracy, or practices of third-party websites
• Any transactions between you and third parties
• Any damages or losses resulting from third-party services

10. Location Services

Petlays may request access to your device's location services when you:

• Add or edit addresses
• Use location-based features

• Location access is optional and only used when you explicitly request it
• You can revoke location permissions at any time through your device settings
• Disabling location services may limit certain features

12. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by:

12.2 Termination by Petlays

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you:

• Violate these Terms
• Engage in fraudulent, illegal, or harmful activities
• Fail to pay required fees
• Misuse the App or Services
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations

12.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

• Your right to access and use the App will immediately cease
• We may delete your account and associated data (subject to legal retention requirements)
• You will lose access to all content and data stored in your account
• Any outstanding fees remain due

Important: We recommend backing up your data before terminating your account, as data deletion may be irreversible.

13. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

Petlays is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Warranties of merchantability
• Fitness for a particular purpose
• Non-infringement
• Uninterrupted or error-free operation

13.2 Medical Disclaimer

Critical Medical Disclaimer: Petlays is NOT a substitute for professional veterinary care. The App does NOT provide:

• Veterinary medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment
• Emergency medical services
• Guarantees about pet health outcomes
• Substitute for regular veterinary check-ups

Always seek professional veterinary advice for your pet's health needs. In case of emergency, contact your veterinarian or emergency veterinary clinic immediately.

13.3 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Petlays and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents shall NOT be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses
• Any damages resulting from your use or inability to use the App
• Any damages resulting from unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
• Any damages resulting from third-party services or links
• Any medical decisions or outcomes based on information in the App

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

13.4 Data Loss

Petlays is not liable for any loss of data, including but not limited to:

• Pet profiles and information
• Health records and medical data
• Photos, videos, and documents
• Any other content stored in the App

You are responsible for maintaining backups of your important data.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Petlays and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the App
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of another party
• Any content you upload or share
• Your violation of any applicable laws or regulations

15. Dispute Resolution

15.1 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [Your Jurisdiction], without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

15.2 Dispute Resolution Process

In the event of any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the App:

Your continued use of Petlays after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using the App and terminate your account.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

18. Waiver

No waiver of any term or condition of these Terms shall be deemed a further or continuing waiver of such term or condition or any other term or condition. Our failure to assert any right or provision under these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.

19. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Petlays regarding your use of the App and Services, and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.

20. Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your account without our prior written consent. We may assign or transfer these Terms or our rights and obligations without restriction.
